Start your weekend with a refreshing yoga session at Fort Orange! This class, taught by Alicia McDonough, is suitable for all levels and will result in greater strength, flexibility, and connection to the body.
A little bit about Alicia: I fell in love with yoga my very first time practicing it. I remember it was a rainy and dreary day outside in Albany and I wanted nothing to do with it. I remember feeling as though my external environment impacted my internal environment; because it was raining and dreary outside, I felt the same on the inside. I was dragged to a class at Heartspace Yoga and Healing Arts. Late and in a hurry we ran inside to the studio, and of course were the last ones to arrive. At the conclusion of the class, however, my headspace had drastically shifted. I felt calm, still, and alive. I remember the feeling I had when I stepped outside and into the rain. What was dreary and lifeless before now felt bright and full of potential. Yoga has given me the tools with which I am able to create a better environment, both internally and externally, for myself and those around me. I've learned that with many things in life, this practice is a process and it should be done with intent each and every time.
